Intero services the full transaction lifecycle in house. Each SPV's funder agrees the credit criteria, and Intero assesses and services every receivable against them.
Opportunities arrive through direct origination, professional service networks and partner platforms.
Before any opportunity goes further, we verify the seller: business registration and good standing, beneficial ownership, KYB and AML checks, and OFAC sanctions screening.
We then collect the underlying documents, such as contracts, invoices, proof of delivery and filed claims, and screen the receivable against the eligibility criteria agreed with the funder.
Opportunities that fall outside those criteria do not proceed.
We assess the obligor, the party who owes and pays the receivable, such as a commercial buyer or government body.
For commercial obligors, we review credit bureau data, financial statements, payment history and concentration.
For government receivables, we confirm the paying agency, the claim status and the expected timing.
We also check the receivable itself for disputes, offsets and contract terms that could delay payment.
Obligors are approved against credit criteria agreed with each funder.
The SPV buys each receivable from the seller in a true sale.
The purchase agreement documents the sale.
A UCC-1 filing against the seller perfects the SPV’s interest against third parties.
A lien search on the seller before funding confirms no prior claims.
Where applicable, notice of assignment directs the obligor to pay the SPV.
For tax credits and refunds, the SPV buys only the right to the proceeds. The claim against the government stays with the seller, who remains the taxpayer of record.
We track each receivable from purchase through to payment.
The platform monitors due dates, obligor credit signals and payment status, and flags exceptions such as disputes, short payments or delays early.
We maintain contact with the obligor or paying agency through to settlement.
Concentration and performance are measured against the limits agreed with each funder.
The SPV and its funding partners receive regular reporting at portfolio and individual receivable level, with a full audit trail on the platform.
The obligor pays into an account in the SPV's name, controlled under the SPV's documents rather than by the seller or by Intero.
We reconcile each payment against the receivable it settles, so every dollar received is matched to the purchase it relates to.
Short payments and remittance differences are resolved with the obligor or paying agency.
Once a receivable is reconciled in full, it is closed on the platform, and the return is realized in the SPV for the benefit of its funding partners.
